THE NEW MURAL in Pigs Alley was damaged again last weekend, less than three weeks after an unidentified vandal snapped a leg from one of the wooden pigs in its focal motif.
Between 9pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday, one of the pigs was ripped right away from the wall, and its ear was broken off (pictured, inset).
Shortly after the damage was discovered, police officers took the pig away to analyse a print left on its painted side by what is supposed to be the vandal's shoe.
A replacement pig is already being made by members of Ross Lion Club. The new cutout and the existing pigs will then be reattached to the wall with powerful adhesive and screws.
