Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide annual campaign which takes place in October and involves thousands of organisations. It highlights the importance of breast awareness, education and research.
Many shops and businesses in and around Ross-on-Wye have been wearing and decorating their premises with pink to support the campaign.
The Beauty Bar in Ross-on-Wye enjoyed everything pink, with homemade cakes, pink sweets and bras as decorations. Nicola Andrews helped to organise the salon’s Wear it Pink Day which raised £515, and a cake which the staff raffled was then donated by the prize winner to St Michael’s Hospice.
Members of staff at Labels, Ross-on-Wye, also enjoyed dressing up in pink attire in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The store supports Breast Cancer Haven’s bra recycling scheme. See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
