The Brampton Abbotts and Foy Community Plan was adopted by the Parish Council at its meeting on February 28th.

The plan represents the culmination of a two year project to identify the views, ideas and aspirations of parishioners, and other stakeholders, to improve the quality of life for all. It also aims to set out an action plan to deliver a range of activities and initiatives to achieve this.

The Parish Council has agreed to take it forward and use the document as a living blueprint to guide their decision making and priority setting.

Keith Thomas said: "The rigorous consultation process which formed the backbone of the Plan's development was vital. We had a fantastic response from the parishioners, with very good attendances at the various events and consultation meetings. The response to the questionnaire was outstanding, with a completed return rate of 81% of those delivered.

"We are delighted that the Parish Council has adopted the plan. The ultimate success of the implementation will depend on people coming together, supported by the Parish Council and other partners.

"We already have around 80 people who have indicating their willingness to help with one project or another; this represents a wonderful resource to enable a number of initiatives to get up and running quickly and productively."
