An application to create eight apartments in two new two-storey buildings on the former joinery works building in Old Gloucester Road, Ross-on-Wye, has been lodged with Herefordshire Council.

The existing site has planning permission for a dance and fitness studio and seven parking spaces.

The site has been vacant since Halo Leisure returned to Ross Swimming pool and is currently been marketed for sale with local agents.

The agents say that the site is located within easy walking distance of the town centre, local facilities and public transport links.

The proposed use seeks to construct eight self-contained flats, together with covered secure cycle storage and separate bin stores and a dedicated parking space per flat.

The proposed units will be similar in height to that of the existing industrial unit.
