Ross Community Garden recently organised a very successful Free Activity Taster Day.

The garden situated in Old Gloucester Rd invited local residents to try out a whole range of activities including Tai Chi, Yoga, Circuits, Seated Ballet, Family Fun Dance and many more throughout the day. The garden which is in its ninth year now, supports many people in the local community through its therapeutic garden sessions, children’s activities and Zero Waste Stall.

Tim Shelley, Project Leader of the Garden said: “We were very encouraged by the turnout and had a fabulous day. We particularly want to encourage as many people as possible who are not currently doing some form of physical exercise or who are looking to return to it.

“We already have regular groups such as men’s and ladies’ fitness and Yoga and following on from this day we are now adding Tai Chi Movement for Wellbeing.”

The new group started on Monday and meets weekly at the garden 11.30am-12.30pm.
