Plans are well underway for the annual Ross-on-Wye Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day for older and more vulnerable people to celebrate together.

Several local organisations including the Ross Lions and EnviroAbility, as well as the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) and the Ross Action Bus, have all come together to throw one big Christmas celebration in Ross.

The organisers of the Christmas Day meal at the Larruperz Centre met last week to discuss the final arrangements.

All who attend the event are given a delicious home cooked meal and can enjoy the company of other local residents.

The meal, sponsored by the Ross-on-Wye Lions, is a fixture on the Ross Christmas calendar. Guests will be delighted that Dave Howley, also known as Delia, will be returning to cook.

Dennis Humble, former general manager of EnviroAbility will be attending the lunch, which Ali Fletcher, of Age Concern Ross, said should make a lot of the regulars very happy.
