Plans to build a new tennis court for Ross Tennis Centre have been put forward to Ross Town Council.
The Community Interest Company, which launched three years ago, and runs the Tennis Centre, put forward their plans to Ross Town Councillors at the recent Town Council meeting.
Director John Pelly spoke on behalf of the CIC, underlying the plans which also included asking for Council opinion on the idea of more floodlights at the centre.
Mr Pelly - who has been a Director since June 2018 - also spoke of the renovation work done by the CIC to increase the profile of the Tennis Centre and improve the facilities, which include resurfacing and refencing the two tennis courts, refurbishing the club pavilion, as well as appointing a new tennis coach who has put more of an emphasis on building the Juniors section of the club.
With the Ross centre hosting regular events organised by the national governing body, the Lawn Tennis Association, the club has built up a strong reputation in the last couple of years as a well-run organisation.
