?Former Ross-on-Wye Town and Herefordshire Councillor, and local business man, Richard Mayo, has appealed to the current County Councillors to put pressure on Balfour Beatty to clear up after repairing potholes.
He told the Ross Gazette that he asked the Councillors if there should be some responsibility put on Balfour Beatty to clear the gravel around the very large potholes when they finally get filled.
He said that there is one pothole on Merrivale Crescent which has finally been filled but a large amount of gravel has been left behind on the road and on the pavement.
Mr Mayo said that the road only gets swept about once a year so the gravel stays on the roadside, helping to wear down the surrounding road by continuously being driven over, or it gets washed into the drains and causes other issues.
