The Basement Youth Trust want to remind anyone who is bored this school holidays that their doors are open three nights a week.

The Youth Club, which has been running in Ross-on-Wye for over 20 years, doesn’t close down for the summer holidays making it a perfect place for young people aged 11 – 18 come rain or shine!

BYT run drop in sessions at The Venue, Hill Street on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6pm – 8pm which are free to attend. As well as a pool table, tuck shop and different activities on offer, the club provides a safe space for young people to spend time together under the supervision of qualified youth workers.

Sue Wilding, of Basement Youth Trust commented: “Whilst the school holidays can be a lot of fun, they can also be frustrating for young people who don’t get to meet up with friends as regularly as they would like to. At BYT, we remain open during the holidays so that young people have a safe place to go during the evenings.”
