Two men and a woman were arrested at addresses in Old Market Close, Ross, on Thursday, September 26th, as part of Operation Wingspan. The men have been released on police bail in connection with possessing Class B drugs, while the woman has been bailed in relation to owning a dangerous dog.

They were among 20 people who were arrested during the largest policing operation in Herefordshire in recent years.

Hundreds of officers executed 32 warrants as part of Operation Wingspan, which aimed to disrupt the criminal activity of those individuals who cause the most harm in local communities.

I accompanied acting Ds Dave Bentley during the police operation in Ross and then during a raid on a clubhouse, in Hereford, owned by the motorcyle gang, the Outlaws.

He said that most of the arrests and searches made were due to information received from members of the public. He said he hoped the day would send a clear message to those members of the public that the police have listened and have taken action.
