The three candidates for the Ross Town Council by-election have provided the following information for Ross Gazette readers to enable them to decide who to vote for. The election is due to take place on Thursday, September 7th.

A position became vacant on the Town Council for the East Ward, after a Lib Dem Councillor, Derek Bedford, stepped down earlier this year, due to ill health.

The candidates standing are: Robert Gibbs (Conservative and Unionist Party); Bob Hendrie (Liberal Democrats); Melvin Hodges (Labour Party).

The polling stations for this election are The Venue in Hill Street, Tudorville and District Community Centre and The Larruperz Centre.

The Notice of Poll states which polling station electors are to go to. Electors in polling district ROE01S, ROE02S and ROE03S all go to different stations as published on that notice. Electors cannot vote at the incorrect station. If people are uncertain as to where they must go to vote then they will be able to phone the Electoral Services Office on 01432 260107 to find out which polling station they are to attend or they can email [email protected]
