Five of the six candidates who are standing in the general election to represent Hereford and South Herefordshire came to The Larruperz Centre in Ross-on-Wye on Friday, May 26th to take part in the hustings; a political debate, which had been organised by Churches Together.
Jesse Norman (Conservative), Anna Coda (Labour), Lucy Hurds (Liberal Democrats), Diana Toynbee (Green), and Jim Kenyon, (Independent), were all in attendance. UKIP’s Gwyn Price had been invited to the hustings, but was unable to attend the event.
During the evening, the debate was chaired by Reverend Sarah Jones, who gave the candidates the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain to voters why they should be elected to represent the constituency in parliament.
