The by-election for a new Councillor for the West Ward in Ross-on-Wye took place on Thursday, March 23rd. The results are as follows; Jordan Creed, It’s Our County – 185, Simeon Cole – Conservative – 211 and Julian Utting – Lib Dem – 245.

Therefore Julian Utting has been elected as a Town Councillor. The turn out was 24%.

Mr Utting told the Ross Gazette that he was delighted to have been elected but thought the other two candidates had also done well. He said it was quite a close result and he was pleased to see a younger candidate taking part.
