Four coaches travelled from Herefordshire and Worcestershire recently to take local supporters for a People’s Vote to Hyde Park, London. There, they joined thousands of others from across the country who also demand a People’s Vote.
Of those who attended, there were many people from all political parties and many different walks of life.
Ross-on-Wye Town Councillors Chris Bartrum, Julian Gren, Jane Roberts and Caroline Utting were amongst them.
They met other Ross residents who had travelled independently to London to join the march.
The Herefordshire for EU group, which has no political affiliation, organised the coach transport and banner.
Councillor Caroline Utting commented on the day and said: “We had a good day. The crowd marching was bigger than we could have imagined and very good natured.
“It was wonderful to see such strong support for a People’s Vote on the final deal, surely the only democratic way to decide Britain’s future when so much hangs in the balance.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
