Supporters of Change Britain, the campaign to make a success of Brexit, have marked the festive season by asking local residents to send Christmas cards to Jesse Norman MP, calling on him to respect the result of the EU referendum and vote to trigger Article 50 unconditionally.
In just two hours, more than 80 people signed cards at the Change Britain street stall in Ross-on-Wye last Saturday, December 17th. Their messages urged Mr Norman to vote in favour of starting the process by which the UK will leave the EU.
Ross-on-Wye was one of over 50 towns and cities across the country where Change Britain volunteers organised a campaign day.
Change Britain senior volunteer, David Howle told the Ross Gazette: “All we want for Christmas is the democratic voice of the British people in the EU referendum to be respected and for MPs to vote to trigger Article 50 without delay.
“We aren’t asking for gold, frankincense or myrrh. The best present we could receive is for politicians to get on with the job of making a success of Brexit.
“Then we really would be having a wonderful Christmas time!”
