MADAM, re: the application for planning permission to erect polytunnels at Pennoxstone Court, Kings Caple. Herefordshire Council intends that the planning committee meeting of April 24th will redetermine this application. The orignal application was quashed by Judicial Review.

The proposed development is larger than the Rotherwas Industrial Estate and Kings Caple is a tiny village within the Wye Valley AONB. Planning law requires that the protection of the AONB should be put before other considerations.

The applicant could move his operations a mere three miles away to an area outside the AONB but he refuses to consider this option.

I urge the Council to refuse the application.
