Mary Deaville, a local artist, will be hosting a fundraising day on Friday, October 7th, at The Venue on Hill Street, Ross-on-Wye.

During the day, from 9am until 5pm, all are welcome to go along to take part in craft activities, and enjoy refreshments.

During the event, Mary hopes to raise funds for two causes; CHAPEL Creatives and Herefordshire Mind.

CHAPEL Creatives is a venture of Mary’s. It stands for Creatives Helping All People Enjoy Life. Mary believes that art can be used as a therapy, for anyone with stress or metal illness. She believes that when someone is focused on something creative, whether that is painting, writing, acting, or something musical, they are more likely to not think about things that may be causing them long term stress, giving them time to relax.

Herefordshire Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
