About 50 people took part in a free Pilates pop-up event, hosted by popular local instructor Natasha Burford, on Wednesday, August 1st.

After a recent holiday in Greece, where Tasha took part in something similar, she wanted to see if Ross was ready for outdoor Pilates.

Since Tasha, a trained dancer, has been teaching Pilates her classes have been in high demand; she wanted to give something back to the community so decided to offer those already familiar with the exercise the chance to practise outdoors and take advantage of the glorious weather and scenery. Newcomers to Pilates were also made very welcome.

Posting the event on social media just a few days before, Tasha had no idea whether people would turn-up or if the weather would hold but it was a roaring success and she was delighted to see so many faces.

The hour-long session was a mat based Fitness Pilates class with a few challenges for those who wanted them. Following a gentle warm-up and all over body workout, the session ended with a mindful relaxation as the sun began to set.  People walking by were intrigued and the spectacle attracted a small audience.

Given the enthusiasm for the event, Natasha is considering offering another free pop-up Pilates class later this month.
