Madam, The launch of the 2012/13 Ross Poppy Appeal will take place on Saturday, October 27th at 9am by the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor David Ravenscroft. He will place the first cross into the flower box in Broad Street which is maintained by the Royal British Legion. This box will become a Field of Remembrance during the Remembrance Period.

People are invited to place a cross in memory of the gallant men and women of our armed forces who gave their lives to the country. Crosses will be available from many shops and establishments within the town, who once again, are kindly assisting the Appeal.
