A POSTMISTRESS has admitted to stealing more than £11,000 from a branch near Ross-on-Wye.

Worcester Crown Court heard that Jane Angel, aged 56, falsified monthly trading statements at Whitchurch Post Office between January 1st, 2008 and April 9th, last year.

Angel, of Tower Stores, Whitchurch, pleaded guilty to obtaining £11,089 by fraud on Monday, February 15th.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and Angel will be sentenced at a later date.
