TALK about threats to future power supplies....Ross had its own power crisis on Monday morning (July 8th) when Western Power Distribution reported 2,100 properties affected by power failure. This included businesses in the town centre, New Street, Edde Cross Street and Wye Street. Energy suppliers reassured users that engineers were on site to investigate and to get remaining properties back on supply. However many business owners were furious that trade on such a glorious day was seriously affected.

Western Power Distribution continued to work on cable repairs, closing Edde Cross Street, as the Gazette went to press this week.
