Residents in Ross-on-Wye have reported power cuts in their homes. Places that have experienced electricity supply problems include Roman Way, Tudorville, and Ashfield.Pendeen Surgery and Alton Street Surgery have also been affected.

Western Power tweeted: "There is currently a powercut in Ross-on-Wye. We are working on the issue and we estimate to have the power restored by 12:30".

A spokesperson for Western Power said: "We think a branch was blown into the line, and then blown away again. There was no equipment failure."There is currently a Yellow wind warning in place for Ross-on-Wye which the Met Office anticipate will last until Saturday, March 16th. A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Some short term loss of power and other services is possible."Update: At 1.32pm Western Power tweeted: "We've got most supplies back on in Ross-on-Wye, but are working to restore the remaining properties by approximately 5.00pm."
