Madam, re Mrs Pope's letter 'different opinions' - what a sensible letter that was. Apart from saving the tax payers' money Mrs Lucas is exactly the right sort of person to be on the Town Council as she really cares for Ross and all the people who live here.
She is a tireless worker and, since being the Chairman of Ross-in-Bloom has done a great deal to enhance the town eg planting a small copse of tree in memory of ladies of the town, down by the river, had flower boxes made and placed around the town and was closely involved in the painting of the beautiful mural in Edde Cross Street. Currently she is overseeing the clean up and painting of Pigs Alley.
Margaret is on Merton House Committee, is a Carnival Queen judge, supports many groups, including the Lions, and also, of course, her husband, Gordon.
Apart from all this she also runs a business with members of her family, but as the old saying goes, if you want something done ask a busy person.
