The Ross Roadies held their 20th Classic and Vintage Vehicle Road Run at The Yew Tree Inn, Peterstow on Easter Monday, April 17th.

Their special guest this time was the current Ross Carnival Princess and Merton House Rose Queen, Maddie Morgan. She enjoyed a trip out around Ross and Peterstow, in a 1925 Singer Saloon, courtesy of Alan and Hillary Baker.

After the journey she presented the proceeds of the 2016 events, a cheque for £2,300, to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity on the group’s behalf. This amount was the money raised at their events held in 2016.

This brings the total raised for the MAA Charity to £12,300 since the Ross Roadies was formed. Over 70 vehicles arrived to take part, and a further figure of around £700 was raised on the day, which will go towards their running total for next year’s presentation.
