A chiropractor from Herefordshire has been imprisoned for 37 months for sexually assaulting and taking photographs of his clients at a health club. The offences took place between 2010 and 2013 at Wye Leisure in Fownhope where Mark Morrison worked as a self-employed contractor.

Morrison, aged 43 of Martins Close, Woolhope, Hereford, was sentenced today at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty to 32 offences in December. The sentences were:16 months imprisonment for five offences of sexual assault;15 months for 25 offences of voyeurism;Six months for two offences of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life and a sexual prevention order was imposed that bars him from ever treating females in a similar role. His criminality was brought to light after a woman contacted the police worried about a specific treatment they received from him.

Detective Sergeant Tim Powell of Hereford CID said: "Morrison's patients placed their full trust in him and he took advantage of that trust by photographing many and sexually assaulting others."Morrison initially denied the assaults and tried to bribe police officers to destroy the evidence on his phone, for which he was convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice

After the first victims came forward, diligent detective work uncovered further evidence and located other victims. Only when he was presented with all the evidence against him did Morrison admit to his crimes.

"The sentence today reflects the breach of trust and the damaging effect he had on his victims and I would like thank them their bravery in supporting the prosecution in through a stressful process.

"I would also like to thank all those at Wye Leisure, who co-operated fully with our investigation."
