More than 20,000 visitors from 70 countries have discovered Ross-on-Wye via the town’s tourism association website (www.visitrossonwye.com). Top of the country list is the UK, followed by the United States, all EU countries, China, Japan, India, Philippines, Seychelles, Vietnam and a host of others.

In addition, the town’s entertainment portal Playross, www.playross.com, receives 500 hits and 1,000 page views each week. Organised by the Ross-on-Wye Tourist Association (RTA), which is made up solely of volunteers, the websites aim to encourage even more visitors to the area.

Recent achievements have been the creation of Tourist Information Centres; new branding, a town map, accommodation folders, leaflets about walking trails, places to visit and dog walking advice. The RTA has forged joint promotional links with the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean Tourism Association.

The RTA has also produced a new town guidebook which features a lot of information about Ross.
