Local residents, led by Sue Bishop, were setting out for a weekend of litter picking across a wide area. Teams were tackling an area as far as Flanesford Priory in one direction, to Lowthers in another and to the Cross Keys.
Sue told the Ross Gazette: “It’s a shame the clean up is clashing with the rugby but I still have a good list of volunteers. Some people pick up litter whenever they go out, especially if they are dog walkers, but its lovely to have the children at the school involved too,” she added.
