A special quiz night is being held to raise cash for Herefordshire Carers Support - a group which has recently seen its funding cut by the local authority.
The event will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at the GWRSA railway club in Hereford and takes place during National Carers Week.
It has been organised by Kemble at Home, one of Herefordshire’s largest care companies which works alongside many charities in the county, helping them continue their invaluable work.
Kemble at Home’s business and marketing manager, Sandra Taylor, said the aim of the evening would be to raise funds for Herefordshire Carers Support and highlight the important work they do in the community.
She said: “Herefordshire Carers Support provides fantastic help to unpaid carers who look after people whose care would otherwise need to be paid for by the local authorities.
“The organisation provides emotional support, training, organises support groups, and much more, giving the carers the strength to cope with everyday challenges.
“We work closely together with Herefordshire Carers Support, as the team here at Kemble provide respite care by looking after their loved ones when the carers need a break."
She added: “The group had its funding cut by Herefordshire Council earlier this year and that has obviously had a devastating effect on what they are trying to do."
Teams of a maximum of six people are invited to attend and the cost will be £2 per person. They can register by calling 01432 352443.
