Rebekha Flynn, from Ross-on-Wye has joined the new British Heart Foundation (BHF) Hereford fundraising group, and is encouraging other local people to join the fight against heart disease.

Rebekha joined the new group after her brother Jonathan died suddenly at the age of 21 with an undiagnosed heart condition. Rebekha said: “Jonathan was a caring and hardworking young man and we miss him dearly. I hope that by sharing my story about what happened to Jonathan, at such a young age, it will help towards raising awareness of the devastating impact heart disease can have.”

The Gazette has reported the many events that Rebekha has organised in Ross-on-Wye in aid of the British Heart Foundation, including a Santa fun run and an open day at a local gym.

Rebeckha has organised a forthcoming event; a charity 24 hour ‘spinathon’ on Friday, April 7th, at Wyefit Gym, commencing at 6.30pm. She has also set herself a huge personal target; she has been training to run this year’s London Marathon and raise £5,000 for the BHF.
