Reds Hair Company from Ross on Wye is on a high after the team won two coveted places in the Midlands regional heat of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2016. First, the salon team, lead by Gavin Kyte won one of two places up for grabs in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Men’s image Award.
Then young colourist, Hannah Clague won the L’Oréal Colour Trophy STAR Award for the Midlands region.
The teams fought off strong competition in both categories and wowed a panel of high-profile award winning judges with their Autumn/Winter 2015/16 fashion inspired looks. Both will now have the chance to compete at the Grand Final event in both categories which could see them winning one or even both of the coveted L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards.
At the Midlands regional final, held at Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham, the salon teams had only 30 minutes to create their fashion inspired, flawless winning look under the gaze of the elite group of accomplished judges, the team were up against 60 other salons in the inspiring, high energy regional final.
Now, after 1000 initial entries Reds Hair Company is one of just 54 nationwide salons who will now compete to win the top titles.
On Monday, June 13th, 2016 the teams will have to complete one final challenge to win the prestigious award as they compete against the winners from the other regions in the two categories. The Grand Final show, which this year will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel at the O2 in London, promises a thrilling and inspirational evening featuring spectacular hair shows by some of the industry’s most illustrious names in hairdressing followed by a 5 course dinner and the awards presentation.
Hannah’s STAR award win sees her joining the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Academy 2016 for a year of unrivalled hair colour training and the chance to compete against the other eight STAR award regional winners at the Grand Final to win a European trip and photoshoot.
The overall winner of the L’Oréal Men’s Image Award will be awarded a once-in-a-lifetime prize package which includes a three-day European trip with a photo shoot to showcase their winning look, a fashion shoot with a leading consumer glossy magazine and a comprehensive personalised plan to promote the salons win PLUS endless PR opportunities throughout their winning year.
