I am pleased to say that I completed the Inflatable 5K Run on Saturday, April 21st, raising £140 in aid of the Ross Gazette’s Charity of the Year, Rocky-Lee’s Little Feet.

The day was great fun, and I’m pleased to have supported such a fantastic charity - I also roped my brother into running with me last minute! The course, which was at Chepstow Racecourse, was packed with some of the largest inflatable obstacles ever created. The ‘Leap of Faith’ was particularly high, with many people climbing back down out of pure fear!

Sadly choosing to run at the 1pm time slot, we caught the rain and the obstacles were rather wet and muddy. But thankfully, during the end of the run, the sun started to shine and we completed the last stretch with my one year old niece, Rosie.

Rocky-Lee’s Little Feet aims to provide financial relief and assistance to people in the UK who cannot afford a memorial headstone or plaque for their stillborn baby, born after 24 weeks of gestation, by providing funding towards the costs of a memorial headstone or plaque; and to relieve the mental and emotional distress of newly bereaved mothers by the provision of memory bears, in particular but not exclusively, for those in Hereford Hospital’s labour ward.

They raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss, with a view to bringing comfort to bereaved parents, and their families, after the loss of a baby.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me raise £140 for the charity so far.
