Madam, On December 23rd, 2009, The Prince of Wales, my local pub, closed. Since then, despite numerous attempts to find out what is going on there I have been unable to elicit clear facts as to the future of the building.
I have watched, over many , many months, various works being carried out, but am still awaiting some sign to tell me when my pub (if it is to be a pub again) will open.
I would be most grateful if the current custodians of my pub would let me, and all of my many POW pals, know when it is to open.
I, and my many POW pals, have become well ensconced in the Kings Head and/or the Man of Ross, so we require assurances that we will be really welcomed back.
All we ask is : please let us know what is happening; teach your bar staff to give us a cheery welcome and to serve customers in the correct order; keep your real ales well; provide us with a clean and warm room and comfortable seating; provide clean and hygienic toilets, and, if possible, good food, and we will come flocking back.
