There was huge excitement in the Jones' household last Tuesday, July 5th when Luke Jones received an unexpected phone call from the management of HM Plant Honda.
The call was an offer of a one-off ride on their Honda CBR 1000cc Fireblade in the Metzeler National Superstock Race, which is run at Oulton Park on July 16th - 17th.
Luke will be deputising for Jason O'Halloran, their regular Australian rider who, unfortunately, was injured in a crash at Knockhill.
As Luke will not be involved with the Triumph Triple Challenge that weekend, he was delighted to accept the offer.
The Jones' race team wish Jason a speedy recovery but agree that this could be a lucky break for Luke.
