Rocky-Lees Little Feet has received £5000 to fund headstones and memorial plaques for stillborn babies. The Ross-on-Wye based charity also works alongside Hereford County Hospital’s labour ward to provide memory bears for families of stillborn babies.

The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation, which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.

Sian Coopey, the founder of Rocky-Lee’s Little Feet, told the Ross Gazette, “The grant will help us to recognise babies born too soon to families in financial need. It will also help us provide Hereford Hospital with support on their labour ward for bereaved parents.”

Sian continued: “This is an amazing amount of money which we couldn’t have dreamt of being nominated for, let alone being chosen. The Charity Trustee’s and I can’t wait to start putting the money to good use.”

Nicky Lee from the Ross on Wye branch said, “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Rocky-Lee’s Little Feet and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
