Just over a week ago Richard Mayo visited the Playground at the Rope Walk in Ross and thought it looked uncared for and uninspiring. He immediately set up a Facebook group to see if anyone else felt the same way and also to investigate ways of improving it.

Within hours he was joined by parents and other people in the town who agreed that the play area was not adequate for such a popular tourist area. He has started a petition which can be signed in Truffles Delicatessen in High Street.

Richard is also organising a mass photo shoot on Sunday, August 19th at 3pm to show just how much need there is for a better play area for this part of Ross.

If you have any ideas for the play area or fundraising suggestions join the Rope Walk Playground Project on Facebook, and don't forget to turn up on Sunday to show your support.
