Ross Hockey Club 1st XI were at home to Cirencester at the weekend and the players were in high spirits, looking for victory.
Ross took the first push-back to start the game, and midfielders Tom Walton, Kristian Franklin, Ben DaCuhna, Nick Clarke, Sam Warner and Matt Saunders made an attack towards the Cirencester 'D', but the shot from Warner was saved.
As Cirencester gained possession, Matt Saunders managed to snatch the ball, which led to a Ross short corner and an opportunity for an early lead. Walton received the ball and slammed one into the backboard for his team.
