Ross Hockey Club 1st XI were the hosts at the weekend, facing local rivals, Hereford A.
Hereford took the first centre, and Ross immediately sprung into action like a well oiled machine. The home team took possession racing forward on goal. The ball was passed to Matt Saunders who took it past several players before slamming it into the backboard.
The home side unfortunately had a short corner awarded against them shortly after, pulling out all the defensive stops they evaded an equaliser.
Ross realised Hereford would never make it easy for them, so they stepped up their game with a few high paced runs coming from the midfield providing the opportunities on goal for attackers Adrian Williams and Phil Evans, however neither managed to score.
