Ross-on-Wye’s five-star caravan and camping park, Broadmeadow Park, has announced an acquisition by leading owner and operator of UK holiday and home parks, Avon Estates Ltd, for an undisclosed sum.
After planning, developing and running this fantastic family run caravan park for over two decades, Brian and Elizabeth Edwards have decided to hang up their boots and step into retirement.
Having nurtured Broadmeadow Caravan Park for 22 years and maintaining its prestigious English Tourist Board 5 stars throughout this time, Brian and Elizabeth sought an experienced buyer to continue to run and manage the park following their retirement.
They have since handed the keys over to Nic Allen, owner of Avon Estates Ltd, from October 1st 2018.
Warwickshire-based Avon Estates Ltd, a family business with a proven track record and an extensive portfolio of Holiday and Home Parks throughout the UK, have run and developed successful operations for over three decades and offer a wide range of residential and holiday accommodation throughout central England and Wales.
The acquisition of Broadmeadow in Ross-on-Wye now extends this reach into Herefordshire, offering their existing customers another new alternative to the hugely popular Riverside Park on the banks of the River Avon in Shakespeare’s famous Stratford-upon-Avon.
Nic Allen said: “Today’s announcement marks another important step for the company. Over the last few years we have enhanced our core business and further developed our offering for our valued touring and hire customers.
“We are confident that the addition of this highly regarded site will allow us to operate as a trusted and reliable partner for Broadmeadows’ regular customers, and will help us continue to execute on our growth agenda within the industry.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
