Following on from the success of their previous visits to Ross-on-Wye, The CrazyBird Comedy Club is returning to the Ross Sports Centre with another stunning line up of professional stand-up comedians from the international circuit on Friday, May 11th.
It is a pleasure to welcome back MC for the evening, fans favourite, the inimitable Geoff Whiting. Geoff will draw on his 20 years’ experience in the industry to ensure the night gets off to a flyer and will ensure that both audience and acts alike are enjoying themselves.
Opening the show is Sean Percival. Sean’s brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. Sean is an ex-welder from Dudley whose down to earth act is bang up to date with its upfront attitude. Smashing through the middle section is Johnny Wardlow. Johnny hails from Brighton. He’s resident compere at Comedy Cuts and Hullabalooman Comedy. Johnny has performed Stand-up throughout the UK at clubs including: Angel Comedy, Komedia, Bearcat Comedy, Downstairs at The Kings Head, and across the Atlantic at The Comic Strip Live in New York. He’s also appeared on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 Extra.
Joining Johnny is Caroline Mabey. She is an accomplished character and sketch comedian, occasionally appearing as her grotesque creation Helen Heels, Landlady to the Stars.
Headlining the night will be Mark Felgate, a man with many unique talents! Mark’s startling abilities as a ventriloquist, combined with guitar playing and a wickedly daft sense of humour, have helped him become a sought after act on the stand-up comedy circuit. His performances include a slew of silly voices, noises, vocal acrobatics, twisted songs and guitar histrionics.
The Doors & Bar open at 7pm show starts at 8pm. Tickets are £12.50, available from Debbie Flitney – 01989 762957, Hannah Elizabeth – 01989 762164, Nick Bird on 07967214477 or [email protected].
Tickets are £14.00 on the door – if there are any left!
