Mrs Auty, Manager of Brighterkinds Ross Court has chosen to support the Marine Conservation Society.

During December Ross Court held a Christmas Cracker Craft Fair with proceeds from the event going to the charity. Nicola Baker from the MCS which is based here in Ross-on-Wye, told residents about their aim to designate a 50km stretch of coast incorporating Beechy Head as a Conservation Area, however additional funding is required.

Staff and residents at Ross Court decided that with Christmas approaching a physical event would be an ideal means of fundraising. From December 19th until 23rd residents, staff, friends and families helped raise money for the MCS by “Walking the Coast.” A treadmill was placed in the reception lounge and everyone joined together to complete the 50km, raising money along the way. Thanks to everyone who supported the ‘walk’ the event raised in excess of £100.
