Mike Davies, Maintenance Manager at Ross Court, has been given a great boost to his latest fundraising efforts thanks to the owners of Ross Court, Majesticare, who have donated £250.

Mike received the cheque from Operations Manager John Chapman last Friday in advance of his London to Brighton cycle ride, on June 16th, for the British Heart Foundation.

Mike said: "I just want to say thanks to Majesticare for their support. I did the ride last year and they sponsored me with the same amount of money then."

Mike has been in training with three friends, Dave Marfell, Jon Powell and Wayne Ryan, who will complete the journey together.

Mike said: "We started training a little later than last year because of the bad weather, but it's good fun. I hadn't done much cycling before taking it up for the ride last year but it's a sociable activity, we usually end up in a pub somewhere!

"We've set a target of £1,500 between the four of us. The British Heart Foundation is a personal cause and they do good work.

"We were among the 47,000 cyclists who took part in last year's event. It's hard work, but it's fun and the event has brilliant atmosphere. It's made me want to do it every year."
