MADAM, as two members of the Ross Carnival Committee, we felt we would like to congratulate the chairman, Mel Hodges, his committee, and all the helpers involved in the organisation of the event last Saturday.
Also congratulations to everyone who took part in the parade, on floats or on foot. Despite the rain later in the afternoon, it did not dampen the spirit of the occasion.
We know from our own experience the fun that can be had in decorating a float and dressing up.
In spite of rising costs, we are sure it must be difficult to finance the Carnival and maintain the high standard each year.
