Ross Cricket Club First XI travelled to Newland on Saturday, August 22nd, to play Barnards Green Third XI. They were invited to bat first by their hosts.
This looked a good decision at 69 for 3 in 19 overs, but the Ross number 4, Andrew Bevan (126), set about the bowling and an excellent total of 293 for 9 was reached at tea. R Brown (17-1-91-5) was the pick of the bowling for the home side.
