A fantastic year for Ross Juniors Football Club was topped off on Monday evening when they collected a cheque for £2,300 from EDF.

The money was a grant from EDF Energy's 2012 Legacy Fund which the company set up after they sponsored the London 2012 Olympics. They hope the fund will help keep the spirit of the Games alive and inspire the next generation to create a postive change through active living.

David Akers, HR Director at EDF Energy said "We were delighted to provide this funding to Ross Juniors which will support the club's growth ambitions. What stood out to us was the active role Ross Juniors play in their community, helping children to learn new skills and stay fit and healthy, whilst giving something back by working with children and adults with special needs.

"We wish Ross Juniors the best of luck with their development plans."
