Earlier this year Ross Juniors were delighted to hear they had been awarded a McDonald’s Showcase Football Day. Previously the club has hosted a local event but never a major showcase event.

On Saturday, September 1st, from 10am-2pm, Ross teams will be playing many local teams in pre-season friendly games, alongside this there will be a mass of attractions for all to participate in.

There will be a McDonald’s football inflatable village with six inflatable football games for all to try and to be coached on by the McDonald’s coaching team.

There will be stalls running in the football village area, alongside Ash Randall, 18 times Guinness World Record holder running free freestyle workshops.

The successful HFA Wildcats girls will be attending as they collect medals and play some games and matches with the Paces team.

Within weeks the club will know which McDonald’s football ambassadors are attending on the day too, recently Stuart Pearce, Martin Keown, Casey Stoney and Pat Jennings have been attending showcase events.

There is also refreshments with hot food and cold drinks available on the day plus a raffle, tombola’s and a stall selling club kit.

The event is free to attend and all are welcome so if you fancy coming along to see our surprise guest and trying some football games and coaching please do.

The event is being held at Ross Sports Centre on Wilton Road.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now
