Ross travelled to Westbury-on-Severn on Thursday, May 28th, for the first round of the Dymock Knockout.

The home side batted first and lost early wickets to Ross opening bowlers, Andrew Bevan (5-1-28-4), and Luke Gray (5-0-26-1).

The middle order of G Morgan (26), D Hockaday (17), G Edgington (31), and J Hargreaves (14*), set about the Ross attack and, helped by 31 extras, set a competitive total of 140.

In reply Seb Warwick (49) was the only batsman to put the home bowlers under pressure.

P McShane (5-0-30-4) and N Wyman (4.3-1-15-3) were the leading wicket takers and the Ross total fell 42 runs short as the innings fizzled out in the last 7 overs.
