Herefordshire Council has declared that Ross Labels is now not an option for the re-siting of the Ross Tourist Information Centre when the lease on Swan House expires in 2010.

A spokesperson told The Ross Gazette that the Labels site was "only one of a number of options being investigated and a decision had not been taken."

He said that following a meeting with Ross Local members on November 12th (the day the Gazette appeared) a further options paper is being prepared. The options in this paper are all town-based locations and the Ross Labels option is not included.

He added "The options will be taken to the Cabinet member and local council members for a decision on the preferred site."
