Our library is a wondrous place
With treasure for us all.
With books of fiction and of fact
On shelves and round the wall.
With friendly staff who help us
With our problems great or small.
And modern aids to guide us
and help us lest we fall.
But experts say we should become
More learned and refined,
With an information centre
To educate our minds.
Now if they are amenable,
To work in space that's spare,
They will be made quite welcome
By our friends already there.
But if they think to take over
Or swamp our existing treasure
Then kindly please forget it
And leave us to
our leisure.
The old Rossian
