The Bonfire and Fireworks Display organised by Ross-on-Wye Lions Club for Saturday, November 2nd has had to be cancelled.
Members of ross Lions Club took the decision on Monday morning, October 30th after torrential rain on Saturday leading to flooding of the Rowing Club field.
A spokesperson for the Club said: "We have had to make a decision and unfortunately we think the ground will be too sodden for the event to take place safely.
"We are very disappointed but will be meeting to discuss whether we can possibly rearrange the event."
The annual event, which has taken place for many years is one of the biggest fundraisers organised by Ross on Wye Lions Club and all profits go to Lions Charities and anyone who knows of an individual or group that need help can make contact by writing to the Secretary.
