On Saturday, September 9th, Ross-on-Wye Town Council, in partnership with Music Industry Services, createROSS and many local business, will be holding a busking festival in the town centre. The event will run from 9am until 4pm and is aimed at bringing the streets alive with the sound of music.

The event will include an open mic stage at the Market House, where musicians can turn up and book a slot to perform, as well as music of all genres in and around the streets of Ross. It is hoped that performers will make a day of it and create a buzz throughout the town.

Organiser Nick Penny said: “We believe this will be the first event of its kind for Ross-on-Wye and would encourage as many performers as possible to turn up and take part in the event. This is not just limited to musicians organisers would love to see street performers at the event as well. This format works as the event is established in Coleford (launched 2012) and Monmouth (launched 2014) and hope that it will become an annual event for Ross on Wye.”
